If we’re completely honest, it doesn’t really matter! We see so much emphasis and lots of posts about how to look cute and Instagram worthy on a riding holiday which can create a real stress about what to bring and how you’ll look.
The most important thing is that you’re comfy and you enjoy yourself!
On the rides we’ve been on, everyone else was wearing normal riding clothes and nothing fancy. Sometimes the fancier you go and the nicer you try to look, the more out of place you’ll feel. Of course if those are the clothes you want to wear, go for it! But we don’t want you to stress and worry about not looking ‘cool’ enough.
On most of our rides, you’ll be staying in huts and lodge accommodation which don’t have long length mirrors and you’ll be riding off grid in rough terrain which likely means you’ll be getting a bit dirty!
If you feel satisfied that you’ve got the right clothing and confident in what you’re wearing, that’s amazing. But if you do want some help and some of our recommendations, here they are:
WHAT TO WEAR ON YOUR RIDING HOLIDAY
Brogini monte cervino faux fur lined boot in brown. Not only are these super comfy to ride in and walk in, they’re lined with a comfy faux fur to keep your feet extra warm.
Riding boots:
We personally love this champion one because although it’s really plain, their changeable hat silks allow for lots of customisation. It’s nice being able to switch the colour with the seasons or just for when you get bored.
riding hat:
If you’re not a fan of the hat cover look, we can also recommend this champion hat.
This PC Racewear is great! It’s water resistant with double waterproof zips and a fleece lining to keep you warm and dry. It also has both an inside and outside pocket for your phone.
Warm riding coat:
Waterproof riding trousers
PC Racewear also do great waterproof riding trousers that still allow good movement and keep you dry!
